And the winner is.....

Dylan picked the winner from the Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spa Giveaway tonight out of a bucket!

Ann is Dylan's lovely Great Aunt and I'm thrilled that she won because she and her husband have the same relationship that Sean and I do and the two of them are going to absolutely crack up at the sight of those masques. Maybe Uncle Jim will get in on the action and have a spa day, too! So congratulations, Aunt Ann! Montagne Jeunesse will be sending you your prize shortly. For the rest of you who entered--and all of you are dear friends of mine--thanks for playing along. I'll let you know when I do another giveaway.

Grandpa took the kids for me for a chunk of the day so I could get things ready for Christmas. Can I tell you a secret? I'm the world's worst wrapper. Presents look like they've been regurgitated after I wrap them. I attempted to wrap a ball for Kate and it came out looking like something you would accidentally find in the dryer. A hairball of wrapping paper. I just kept thinking how glad I was that my kids are still too little to care how their presents are presented. But anyway, thanks for taking them for me today, Pops, It's nice not having to be wrapping presents after they are sleeping.

Speaking of sleeping...we're still working on getting accustomed to the new sleeping arrangements of sharing a room. Dylan is doing just fine. He sleeps right through the noise. Last night Kate slept from 7-9PM, was up until 11:30, slept until 3 when she woke up for a bottle, woke up for the day at 6:45. So, not a great night of sleeping.

We put her up to bed at 7 tonight and both she and Dylan fell fast asleep. She woke up at 8 and has been crying since. I keep going in there to hold her and she calms down and then wakes herself up crying again. I'm letting her cry a bit to see if she tires herself out but I can't take much of it because I'm not a big fan of having her in there feeling afraid or abandoned. All right, I'd better go take care of my gal.

Product review: Montagne Jeunesse Red Earth Clay Spa Masque

We laughed so hard.

This masque is not at all what I expected, but it turned out being very awesome. Prepare yourself for some ridiculous pictures, most of them taken by my three-year-old holding the camera remote.

First of all, this company Montagne Jeunesse seems really fun. This little disclosure about not testing on animals is great, I like a non-serious blurb and a product which is animal friendly.

So first you have to wash your face, so I put the photo taking on hold until I did that. I'm wearing another product which came in my Influenster Violet Voxbox called a Goody Athletique Headband which I will review at a later date.

Okay, so look at this thing. I thought it was going to be a cream but it was an actual masque. I put it on right in the den, no mess. And then hilarity ensued.

It smelled amazing and looked idiotic and the whole house was filled with laughter. The dogs were quite curious and wanted to lick it. The baby was very confused. Dylan, Sean, and I just laughed and laughed. I texted a picture to my BFF in England and posted another on Instagram. Apparently I have no shame.

After I put on the masque, my face felt pretty great. The instructions said to wait 10-15 minutes and the masque didn't feel at all intrusive, although it was hard to smile. It smelled great and felt like cool plaster. Unlike the way your scalp feels when you dye your hair, the masque didn't burn.

For those few minutes I went about my motherly duties; feeding the baby, getting everyone something to drink, laughing some more with my husband at how much I resembled a horror film character. Dylan was chasing one of the dogs and wasn't listening so I put him in a time out and I nearly peed my pants having to put him on that chair wearing that masque. There was no point of trying to be serious.

And then it was time to take off the masque.

And then I rinsed my face. And my skin feels so nice! Really soft.

So I give this product an A- because it was a really fun, really easy product that made my skin feel great while smelling wonderful and making us all laugh.

Rated-A-minus

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. If you'd like an invitation to join Influenster as a product reviewer please feel free to email me at Wildefrost@gmail.com and I will be glad to send you an invitation.

The best sale for sprucing up your yard!

DSC_7126

Go to Big Lots. Tomorrow. Or as soon as you can. They are selling almost all of their outdoor decor (I'm a poet!) for 75% off!!! I can't tell you how awesome this is. I've been meaning to decorate our yard but I really couldn't justify spending $10+ on one yard decoration which will probably get rusty by next season. But this sale is amazing. I spent $2.50 per birdhouse/wind chime/decoration. I might have gone to two different Big Lots to search for more variety. Definitely go ASAP. 75% off is totally bodacious.
