I really had so much to do today. A never-ending list of chores. But somehow we were distracted by the playroom and a great mixed CD and spent hours playing together. I wasn't thinking about the things I needed to get done--I realize now that they aren't important, I can get them done tomorrow--I just soaked in my kids' smiles and laughter.
In one week Dylan will turn three. He's already growing too fast for my liking. He sings our phone number and knows our address and memorizes books to recite back to us at night. He dresses and undresses himself and is kind to his sister and opens the fridge to pick out his own drinks. He is growing way too fast. They both are.
So today we played.
